Baby's first swimming experience
The first swimming experience is an important step for your baby to get used to the water environment and develop swimming skills. Here are some tips to make your baby's experience go smoothly and effectively:
Prepare before going swimming
- Clothing: Prepare for your baby a swimsuit that is the right size, soft and comfortable material. Choose a swimsuit that has good sun protection if your baby is swimming outdoors.
- Swimming equipment: Bring swimming goggles, swimming cap and towel for your baby.
- Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen to your baby before going swimming to protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun.
- Drinks: Bring drinks for your child to replenish water after swimming.
At the pool
- Getting used to the water environment: Let your baby slowly get used to the water environment by letting him play in shallow water areas.
- Basic skills: Teach your baby basic skills such as floating, breathing, and moving in water.
- Listen to your baby: Observe and listen to your baby, do not force your baby to perform skills that he or she is not ready for.
- Praise and encouragement: Praise and encourage your child when he or she performs skills well.
- Stay safe: Always supervise your baby closely during swimming.
